What if I don't have a car, can STUDDS still pick me up?
Our service is designed to pick up members and their vehicles and get them both home safely. If a member is in a situation where they are out without their car and they need a ride home, we will gladly pick them up and get them home safely, although it is not the primary intended use of the service.
What if I have friends with me that also need a ride home, can the drivers make additional stops?
Yes, but all additional stops and mileage should be appropriatley considered when tipping the drivers.
How far in advance do I need to call for a ride?
We recommend scheduling your ride 24 hours in advance if possible, to guarantee the prompt arrival of our drivers. Wait time for a call placed the evening of the ride request should not exceed 45 minutes.
How do I pay for the ride? Do I give the driver the full amount, or just their tip?
Member's can keep a debit or credit card on file for convenient payment of all ride fees and gratuity, or if they prefer, they can pay the driver directly. When calling to request a driver, the member can indicate how they would like to pay for the ride.
What is an appropriate amount to tip the drivers?
Depending on the distance of the trip, driver's wait time, additional stops and the quality of service provided, there are no set guidelines for tipping. We just ask that you take good care of our drivers, as they have taken good care of you!
How do I know your drivers are safe and reliable?
When hiring our drivers, background checks and employment screenings are done. A clean driving record is required and random drug testing is utilized.
What if I schedule a pick up, and then need to cancel?
You can cancel a requested pick up 4 hours prior to the scheduled time without penalty. If a requested pick up is cancelled within the 4 hours prior, a cancellation fee of $40 will be charged to the member's account.
What if I'm hosting a party, can I request more than a single team of drivers?
Yes! We are happy to accomodate our members and their guests! A STUDDS Manager will work closely with you to make all arragement necessary for such an occasion.
